There are many events in the OA, and this page serves to promote the lodge, section, and national events. Our lodge is very active each year, and all arrowmen are invited to join us at all events! For chapter events, please contact your chapter in the Chapters page.

Banquet

The annual lodge banquet is held to celebrate the accomplishments made during each year. It is held in January of the following year, and consists of good food and fun! The banquet recognizes the hard work over the past year and includes special presentations and more.

Barbecue

Kick off the summer with Wiatava Lodge’s annual BBQ! This free casual gathering is a perfect way to enjoy good food, games, and fellowship with fellow Arrowmen. The BBQ is our lodge’s free event, and friends and family are welcome to join for only $5! Activities like canoe races, archery, and BB gun shooting are available for everyone. At BBQ, there is also a Brotherhood ceremony.

Fall Fellowship

Our Lodge’s annual fall fellowship is a weekend full of fun! This is an event where all of the chapters in Wiatava Lodge come together for food, fun, and fellowship as they compete to earn ownership of “The Cog” for the next year. Not to mention, we’ll have games and more games for everyone to enjoy through the weekend at the beautiful Lost Valley Scout Camp. This year’s Fall Fellowship will be one unlike any other, so you don’t want to miss out! At this event, there is also a Brotherhood Ceremony.

Inductions

Inductions are a crucial part of Wiatava Lodge’s activities, welcoming new members into the Order of the Arrow. This weekend is filled with meaningful ceremonies, service projects, and the opportunity for candidates to complete their Induction. Members can also seal their membership by completing the Brotherhood Honor.

If you have just been elected and are looking for more candidate information, check out the Elected page. If you’re already a member, you can still attend Inductions! We’d love to have you as an Elangomat for an Induction, helping out the new candidates and our lodge to create a great event. We’re also always looking for people to come for fellowship! Lodge Executive Committee Meetings

LEC Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. This is where the lodge committee meets to give information to chapters and plan for events and other upcoming items. Though voting is strictly for elected officers and chapter chiefs, other arrowmen are welcome to come join us to give input or see how Wiatava is run!

Training Days

Our lodge hosts many training days for multiple reasons, primarily officer training. We have 2 trainings- Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) and Chapter Officer Training Day (COTD). LLD is strictly for the new lodge board, chapter chiefs, and chapter EVC’s. For more info, see the calendar.

COTD is a training event open to all arrowmen to help train chapter officers and members for upcoming leadership terms, effectively preparing them for their positions. This is a single day event, and chapter officers are especially encouraged to attend.

Section Conclave

Join Arrowmen from across the section for the annual Section Conclave! This event brings together members from multiple lodges for a weekend of fun, training, competitions, and fellowship. It’s a chance to meet new friends, learn new skills, and represent Wiatava Lodge in various competitions.

National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC)

The National Order of the Arrow Conference is an event with thousands of arrowmen from almost every lodge throughout the nation. This is a weeklong event held at a university where arrowmen get to stay in dorms. At NOAC, there are training sessions, activities, keynote speakers and special shows, and patch trading! Members attend as a part of a contingent. The last NOAC, in 2024, was held in the University of Colorado Boulder. The next NOAC will be in 2027, and the location and other details will be announced later.

National Leadership Seminar

The NLS is a highly-regarded leadership development program offered by the Order of the Arrow. This weekend seminar is designed for youth and adult leaders who want to enhance their leadership skills and bring what they learn back to their lodge. It’s a transformative experience that empowers participants to become more effective leaders.
